Xomiy

Chironax

Xomiy's inflatable horse dildo, sold by Juliet Toys: a pink platinum-silicone shaft with a flared head on a dark sheath and suction-cup base, plus a hand pump that swells the shaft into a balloon. I tested the small. Daniel held the pump.

Our Chironax was a gift from Juliet Toys, who had no say in this review.

Xomiy Chironax
Heads-up
It's two toys, and you'll only want one of them

Deflated, the Chironax is a firm, easy fantasy dildo with a flared head. Pumped up, the shaft swells into a smooth balloon and the detail stretches away; what you get instead is fullness, and that part felt good. Whether you'll reach for it again depends on how you feel about inflation. I've never been a big inflatables fan, and this didn't convert me.

The Verdict

The Chironax is a well-made inflatable: firm and easy to use deflated, with a gradual, controllable fullness once the pump comes out, almost no smell, air that stays in, and no trouble cleaning it. The catch is built into the idea. Inflating it stretches out the detail, the texture is mild, and the suction cup is only average. For someone who already loves inflation, it's a solid pick. For everyone else, a Bad Dragon Chance does the shape better for about the same money.

Well made, and the fullness is real. Just not my thing
PROS
  • Firm enough deflated to work as a normal dildo, and easy to insert
  • Inflation gives a real sense of fullness that builds gradually
  • Held its air well, even with the tube taken off
  • Almost no smell out of the box
  • Easy to clean, despite the valve and tube
  • The pump makes partner control easy: one squeeze at a time
CONS
  • Inflating stretches out the detail, so you're choosing between shape and size
  • The texture is less pronounced than the photos suggest
  • The suction cup holds, but not firmly
  • The release button lets the air out at once, which is a little abrupt
  • $139.99 is a lot, and Juliet Toys' own Japanese store sells it for far less
  • Ships from China, and returns are only for defective items
Their claims vs. our testing
Inflates for extreme expansion
HOLDSIt does. The shaft swells evenly into a smooth oval. We stopped when I'd had enough; we didn't measure how close that was to the 7.5 cm limit Juliet Toys sets for the small size.
Detachable pump, no air leaks
HOLDSWe took the tube off after pumping and the toy kept its size. Over a long session it softened a little at most.
Powerful suction cup
PARTLYIt holds, but I wouldn't call it powerful. Middle of the road compared with other suction bases we own.
Platinum silicone, body-safe
PARTLYIt felt and smelled like good silicone: almost no odor out of the box, and it washed clean easily. Juliet Toys publishes no Shore value or lab report for this toy, so that's as far as we can confirm it.
One-press release
HOLDSPress the button on the pump and all the air goes at once. A little abrupt, never uncomfortable.

Unboxing & first impressions

Chironax with its hand pump, clear air tube, storage bag and care card

In the box: the toy, a clear air tube with a black squeeze-bulb pump, a cream cloth storage bag and a Dos and Don'ts card. No manual. The card covers cleaning and storage, and the rest you work out yourself. Juliet Toys sent it to us as a gift, and they had no say in this review.

Out of the bag, the Chironax smelled of almost nothing, which is what you want from platinum silicone. The pink shaft has a flared head and some veining, and it sits on a dark, wrinkled sheath with a suction cup underneath. The small is 26 cm in total and weighs about 650 grams, which reads as a lot on paper. It didn't feel heavy or awkward in use.

Deflated: a firm fantasy dildo

The veined shaft texture up close

Before any air goes in, the Chironax is a perfectly usable fantasy dildo. It's firm enough to stand up by itself, and it went in easily. The flared head is fairly noticeable. The veining and ridges on the shaft are less pronounced than the product photos suggest; they're there, but I wouldn't buy it for the texture.

The suction cup holds, but only just well enough. It's fine on a smooth surface for gentle use. If you want to ride it hard against the wall, I'd want something with a stronger base.

Pumping it up

The Chironax inflated next to a half-liter soda can, the shaft swollen into a smooth oval

This is the reason the toy exists, so we tested it the way it's meant to be used. With the toy in place, Daniel took the pump and squeezed, one press at a time, while I told him when to keep going and when to stop. That turned out to be the fun part: the person holding the pump gets an easy kind of control, and the person using the toy can let them have it.

The fullness builds gradually, and it felt good. It doesn't run away from you; there was no sudden jump, just a steady swell until I'd had enough, and that's where we stopped.

The trade-off is that the shape goes away as the balloon grows. The inflated shaft is a smooth oval, so the shape you bought it for stretches out exactly when the size goes up. You're choosing between detail and fullness, not getting both.

Letting the air out is a single press of the button on the pump, and all of it goes at once. That's a little abrupt, but it was never uncomfortable. The tube comes off after inflating and the toy keeps its size, which means you're not tethered to the pump for the whole session.

Cleaning and care

The included Dos and Don'ts care card

I expected the valve and tube to be a pain to clean. They weren't. Let the air out completely, wash the toy with warm water and mild soap, and let it dry. Juliet Toys recommends water-based lube, and I'd stick to that. I wouldn't boil it either: there's an air bladder and a valve inside, and the brand doesn't say boiling is safe.

One safety note worth taking seriously: Juliet Toys sets a maximum inflated width of 7.5 cm for the small, and tells you to count how many pumps it takes to get there before you use it. Do that first, on the table, not mid-session.

Close-up of the flared, ridged head

I've never been a big inflatables person, and I'll admit I went into this one curious rather than excited. I understand the charm better now. Having Daniel on the pump, one squeeze at a time, while I decided when he got to stop, was the best part of the whole test, and the fullness is real.

But the moment it starts to swell, the horse disappears. What's left is a smooth balloon, and if the shape is why you want a horse dildo, that's a strange trade. Deflated, it's a decent, firm toy with a nice head and so-so texture.

Will I use it again? I honestly don't know. It's well made, it's easy to live with, and it didn't do anything wrong. It just isn't the toy I'll reach for when I can have something solid. If you love inflation, add a point. If you don't know yet, start with a solid toy.

Who it's for, and what I'd buy instead

The small Chironax uninflated next to a half-liter soda can for scale

If you love inflation, the Chironax is a well-made way to get it: firm, clean, holds air, easy to control. If you're not sure, I'd point you elsewhere. My own medium Bad Dragon Chance does the same kind of shape with more detail and no pump to deal with. Bad Dragon prices every creature dildo by size, from $75 for a Mini to $225 for an XL, so a comparable Chance costs about the same as the small Chironax.

A word on who makes it. Xomiy and Juliet Toys belong to the same group as Nothosaur. In 2023 a UK maker, Twisted Beast, publicly criticized that group's business practices and stopped working with influencers who promote it. We covered that in the Nothosaur review and we can't verify the specifics, but it's part of the picture when you decide where to spend your money.

On price: $139.99 for the small and $189.99 for the medium on Juliet Toys' US store. Their Japanese store lists the same toy for well under half that. Orders ship from China and take a couple of weeks to the US, duties are prepaid, and returns are only accepted for defective items reported within seven days. Multiple sessions with the small size, vaginal use only. Daniel worked the pump during the inflation sessions. No lab measurements; inflation was stopped when Sasha had had enough, and the inflated width wasn't measured. The Chironax was a gift from Juliet Toys, which had no input on this review.

Questions people ask
How big does the Xomiy Chironax get?

The small is 26 cm long with 20.7 cm insertable, a 5.5 cm head and a 4 cm mid-shaft when deflated. Inflated, it reaches 40 cm long, and Juliet Toys says not to go past 7.5 cm wide. The medium is 32 cm and inflates to a 12 cm maximum width.

Does the Chironax hold its air?

Yes. You can take the tube off after inflating and the toy keeps its size. In our testing it softened a little at most over a long session.

How do you clean an inflatable dildo?

Let all the air out first, then wash it with warm water and mild soap and let it dry fully. Use water-based lube, and don't boil it: the valve and air bladder aren't made for that.

Is the Chironax better than a Bad Dragon horse dildo?

Only if you want inflation. Deflated, its texture is milder than a Bad Dragon Chance, and inflating it stretches the shape into a smooth balloon. A comparable Chance costs about the same as the small Chironax.

Who makes Xomiy?

Xomiy is an inflation-focused brand sold by Juliet Toys, which belongs to the same group as Nothosaur. The toys ship from China.
