What we do
The Toy Slut is an independent review site covering sex toys, lube, and related products. Honest scores, no sponsored placements. Reviews are written to help readers make informed decisions, which means they include the things that don't work as well as the things that do. Our readers trust us because we don't soften reviews to keep brands happy. That trust is the whole product.
Ways to work together
We accept product samples for testing and review. Samples we test in real conditions over multiple weeks before writing anything. Coverage isn't guaranteed (sometimes we just don't have enough to say), but if we cover the product, the review reflects our actual experience. We can't pre-approve drafts or change scores after publication.
We use affiliate links on store and product CTAs throughout the site. Standard retail commission structures (direct programs, Awin, Impact, ShareASale, etc.). Affiliate status doesn't affect ratings — some of our top-rated brands have no affiliate program, and we've given low scores to brands we earn commission from. The disclosure on every page makes this clear.
Happy to provide quotes for journalists, contribute commentary on industry stories, or be interviewed about product trends. Awards mentions and roundup inclusions are welcome — just credit and link back.
Editorial independence
Honest reviews are the only thing we sell. So a few standards stay non-negotiable: we keep editorial control over scores, verdicts, and copy; we disclose affiliate relationships clearly; and we don't publish content that's been pre-approved by the brand being reviewed.
