How Much Do Sex Toys Cost? The 2026 Price Index
The Short Answer
The median sex toy at the seven US online stores we read costs $50. Half cost less. That comes from the listed price of every toy at those seven stores and at 18 makers' own stores on October 23, 2026, 14,659 toys in all, once the lube, lingerie, condoms, cleaners and merch were taken out.
A cock ring is the cheapest kind of toy, at a median of $28 with cages counted in. The dearest common kind is a wearable or app-controlled vibrator, at $94. In between, a rabbit costs $80, a wand $65, a clitoral stimulator $60, a dildo $50 and a butt plug $40.
Prices are the easy kind of number. They tell the truth about what a toy costs today. The trouble starts with what they claim it used to cost.
What Each Kind of Toy Costs
A median hides the spread, so each bar carries the middle half too, the range the middle 50% of listings fall in. Strokers spread the widest, from $30 to $119, because a Tenga Egg and a Fleshlight both count as strokers.
Dildos split three ways. Realistic ones have a median of $50, fantasy ones $60, and glass or steel ones $40. Glass is the quiet bargain here. It's Porous and nonporousPorous materials like TPE, jelly and Cyberskin have tiny pores that can hold bacteria. Nonporous ones like silicone, glass and steel can be cleaned completely. More in the glossary, easy to clean, and most glass dildos cost less than silicone ones.

Where Most Toys Land
A fifth of all toys cost under $25 and another third cost $25 to $50. Only 3% cost $200 or more. Spending $200 on a toy is a choice, not the going rate.
Cheap is not a verdict by itself. Tantus sells a silicone cock ring for $12, and it does its job. A $15 jelly dildo is another matter, and the next chart shows why.
Silicone Costs More, Then Less
Silicone costs more in every kind of toy we could compare. A realistic dildo in silicone has a median of $67. The same kind of toy in TPE (thermoplastic elastomer)A soft, cheap material used for most stroker sleeves. It's porous, so it can't be fully sanitized, and a sleeve lasts about a year of regular use. More in the glossary, PVC or jelly has a median of $40. For cock rings it's $29 against $12, and for butt plugs $46 against $30.
Then count the years. Silicone is nonporous and lasts for years if you look after it. TPE is porous and wears out in about a year of regular use. Our dildo pages count five years for silicone and one for TPE, and so does this.
That makes the silicone dildo $13 a year and the TPE one $40. The cheap one is the expensive one, and it's also the one you can't fully clean. Our materials guide covers why.
A quarter of the listings don't say what the toy is made of. They're left out of these two charts, and that silence is a small warning of its own. A maker proud of its silicone says so on the box.
The Sale That Never Ends
A crossed-out price next to the real one is supposed to mean a sale. At PinkCherry, 99% of toys carry one, with a median of 20% off. Kink Store does it on 19% of its toys and AdultLuxe on 3%. Intimatify, Peepshow Toys, SheVibe and Stockroom almost never do, and the makers' own stores do it on 2%.
So we checked what PinkCherry's crossed-out prices are measured against. We found 62 of its toys in Sportsheets' own store, which sells the Sportsheets and Sex & Mischief lines, and read both the same day. PinkCherry's crossed-out price was above Sportsheets' own price on 56 of the 57 toys that had one, by a median of 36%. PinkCherry's price itself was higher than Sportsheets' on 47 of the 62. The big brands look the same. PinkCherry showed the Womanizer Premium 2 at $189 with $219.99 crossed out, and the We-Vibe Tango X at $85 with $99.99 crossed out. Womanizer and We-Vibe charge $189 and $85 in their own US stores.
When almost everything is on sale, nothing is. The crossed-out number is what the store calls a compare-at price, and a price nobody pays tells you nothing. Compare what you'd pay with the same toy at the maker or at another store, and ignore the percentage.
Online Store or the Maker?
The median toy at a maker's own store costs $70, against $50 at the seven online stores. That's a different shelf, not a markup on the same toy. The makers we read sell their own lines, and several of them are brands we rank near the top, like Tantus, Vixen and Tenga.
Makers almost never show a crossed-out price, and they're often the only place with every size and color. Buy from the maker when you know what you want. Use the online stores to compare brands, and judge them by the price, not the discount.
How We Counted
We read each store's public product catalog on October 23, 2026. That covered seven US online stores (PinkCherry, SheVibe, Stockroom, Intimatify, Peepshow Toys, Kink Store and AdultLuxe) and the own stores of 18 makers (Aneros, Crave, Dame, Doc Johnson, Fleshlight, Fun Factory, Hot Octopuss, Liberator, New York Toy Collective, Nothosaur, Pleasure Forge, Screaming O, Sportsheets, Tantus, Tenga, Tracy's Dog, Unbound and Vixen Creations). Four lube makers' stores were read too and had no toys. In all, 19,572 products.
This isn't a list of the biggest sellers. The seven are US stores whose whole catalog is public, which leaves out Amazon, Lovehoney and Adam & Eve.
A toy's price is its lowest listed price that day, the one the listing shows, so a toy sold in several sizes counts once, at its cheapest. Only toys count. Lube, lingerie, condoms, cleaners, cosmetics, books, merch and accessories are out, and so are a few hundred products we couldn't place in a category.
The PinkCherry check matched toys by name between PinkCherry's catalog and Sportsheets' own catalog, both read October 23. The categories come from each store's own category names and the product names, matched to one list. The materials come from the product descriptions. The same toy sold by three stores counts three times, because three listings is what a shopper sees.
Prices are in US dollars. Fun Factory's store prices in euros, so its toys count toward the crossed-out share only. We earn a commission from two of the seven stores, SheVibe and Intimatify, and from some of the makers. It changed nothing here, since every store went through the same count.
Intimatify is also new. Its domain was registered in July 2026, so we ran the numbers without it too. The median toy stays at $50 and the makers' median at $70. A few kinds move a little, cock rings to $31, wearable and app vibrators to $90 and rabbits to $75.
