Dual-Density Silicone

A dildo with a firm inner core and soft outer layer — the closest silicone gets to feeling realistic.

Dual-density dildos are made by pouring two different firmness levels of silicone: a rigid core that holds shape and provides firmness, surrounded by a soft, squishy outer layer that mimics the feel of human tissue. Vixen Creations pioneered this technique with their VixSkin line (Maverick, Mustang, Buck). The result feels dramatically more realistic than single-density silicone. Other brands like Tantus (O2 line) and New York Toy Collective also make dual-density toys, though Vixen's implementation is still considered the benchmark. Dual-density toys cost more because the manufacturing process is more complex — expect $65-$150.
